In the days following the 9/11 attacks a strange phenomenon soon captured the attention of millions of people across the internet. Could recent revelations about this haunting visual anomaly spell-out bad news for the perpetrators of terror?

About the project

We were originally hell-bent on creating a full-length documentary that would provide a thorough and engaging look at this incredibly bizarre and surprisingly elaborate phenomenon called the Devilsmoke. That remains the ultimate goal, but we now recognize it's necessary to start small. So we're launching a podcast series on YouTube. The first episode available now doesn't cover everything- it reveals just one of the three major secrets and offers only short glimpses at many of the lesser (though still important) details. But we're pleased with it as an introduction, so be sure to watch the video and join the ongoing investigation into what could be not simply the first verifiably real supernatural event ever recorded on film, but one that could send an ominous message to the perpetrators of terrorism and deter others from following in their dark and misguided path.

We recommend watching the video

Researcher X

Researcher X is a detective of the "unexplained" who claims to have cracked some profoundly important mysteries and plans to disclose these findings in several upcoming films. He clearly knows the Devilsmoke better than anyone and is more than likely the only person willing and able to articulate its many intricate details in a genuinely authentic way.

"There's three what I consider major secrets I've identified since I began studying this phenomenon in 2003. The first managed to elude me for over nine years. The next would be revealed about six months later when I stumbled across some key information. The final most stunning discovery happened just weeks away from the 15 year anniversary of 9/11 in 2016. It's a moment I'll never forget. I sat there transfixed to the screen for a good ten minutes." recalls the anonymous investigator.

In the final edit of the film Researcher X's shadowy image and disguised dialogue may be replaced with that delivered by an actor. The main incentives would be to achieve better vocal quality and also to prevent his actual voice from being exposed through audio manipulation that would restore the original sound. All it would take is a simple pitch adjustment.
